Tucked into the heart of the Miami Valley, this wind tunnel brings serious vertical wind power to south-west Ohio. Opened in 2019 alongside the renowned Start Skydiving dropzone, it offers an authentic freefall experience rooted in real skydiving culture — a combination few facilities anywhere can match.
Step inside the Start Skydiving Wind Tunnel and the 16.4-foot (5.0-metre) flight chamber — among the largest in the region — immediately earns its reputation. That generous diameter means you can spread out fully, shift your body through wide arcs, and feel genuine lift rather than the cramped, corrective flying that smaller tunnels demand. First-timers find the space forgiving; seasoned flyers find it liberating.
