Tucked into the heart of Tennessee's Smoky Mountains tourist corridor, Flyaway holds a remarkable distinction: it is one of the oldest operating vertical wind tunnels in the world, having welcomed flyers since 1982. Decades before indoor skydiving became a global phenomenon, this pioneer was already giving guests their first taste of human flight.

Step into the 12-foot chamber and you'll understand why Flyaway has endured for over four decades. The recirculating airflow lifts you cleanly off the mesh, delivering that unmistakable weightless sensation that never grows old. The generous chamber diameter gives beginners room to find their balance while offering seasoned flyers genuine freedom of movement.
