Yuma, Arizona, sits at the confluence of the Colorado and Gila rivers in one of the sunniest corners of the American Southwest — a city defined by its desert landscapes, rich military heritage, and year-round warmth that draws visitors from across the globe. A wind tunnel called the Bannar Vertical Wind Tunnel is located here, though it operates as a private facility and is not accessible to the public.

For adventure-seekers, Yuma delivers in abundance. The surrounding Sonoran Desert offers outstanding off-road riding, hiking through dramatic sand dunes at the Imperial Sand Dunes, and world-class bird watching along the Colorado River. History lovers can explore the notorious Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park, while the city's vibrant farmers' market and lively dining scene reflect its warm, welcoming character.
