EVENT DESCRIPTION

LETARIUM CUP (No Instructors Allowed)

On May, 20th in Moscow will take place aerodynamic tunnel LETARIUM competitions “LETARIUM CUP”. The distinctive feature of competitions is that tunnel coaches are not allowed to participate. 2WAY VFS competitions will be held at 3 levels: intermediate (sit), advanced (sit + head down), open (head down + head down). The winners will get 2 hours, 1 hour and 30 min of flying time for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places accordingly at every category.

Motivation

We understand that the participation of tunnel coaches at such competitions diminishes motivation of amateur sportsmen. Competing with athletes with equitable experience raises chances to succeed while rivaling to a tunnel coach who flies every day seems quite unfair. We would like to give a chance to all sportsmen to show their masterpiece – thus we decided not to invite tunnel coaches to participate this time.

Developing Indoor Skydiving

Every day we have minimum 10 training slots with sportsmen: as with beginners as with skilled ones, with whom we work for a long time.
Mostly people train freefly, some come to get prepared before AFF. Many of our athletes tend to get ready for national and world records, also there is growing tendency to form 2WAY VFS teams among flyers.
Sportsmen appreciate our tunnel for its powerful and smooth airflow, team of coaches, gathered from best national skydivers, and for adequate pricing policy (prices start from 264€ per flying hour).
Last two years we see growing interest for indoor skydiving sport. Now we have a lot of sportsmen who are not skydivers which is more usual. For them it is not just extreme and fun but serious sport.
