Jawa Barat — West Java — is one of Indonesia's most dynamic and culturally rich provinces, a sprawling region that stretches from the outskirts of Jakarta deep into volcanic highland landscapes. Home to the elegant city of Bandung, the ancient Sundanese heartland, and a population brimming with creativity and warmth, Jawa Barat draws visitors for its food, its scenery, and its unmistakable energy. A wind tunnel facility called iFLY Jakarta has been noted in connection with this region, though its current status remains unclear.

For adventure-seekers and curious travellers, Jawa Barat delivers in abundance. Hike to the electric-blue crater lakes of Kawah Putih, explore the tea plantations rolling across the Puncak highlands, or lose yourself in Bandung's legendary street-food scene and thriving arts district. Surfing off the Pelabuhan Ratu coastline and white-water rafting on the Citarik River round out an impressive roster of outdoor pursuits.
